Malaga, Spain, 13 May 2008 — As a continuous commitment with the wireless industry and as part of AT4 wireless’ strategy to become the leading laboratory for wireless technologies, AT4 wireless is proud to announce that it has been authorized by CTIA and Wi-Fi Alliance for RF performance of Wi-Fi® Mobile Converged Devices. This accreditation increases the number of technologies that AT4 wireless can test Over-The-Air today and is therefore the most complete Wireless Certification & Testing Laboratory in the world.

This new accreditation allows our clients to meet latest requirements for RF performance evaluation, which is one of the most important tests of different certification programs (CTIA, PTCRB, Wi-Fi Alliance, etc…) and which is also being required by all main Mobile Network Operators.
AT4 wireless’ Over-The-Air Testing services include:
- TRP (Total Radiated Power)
- TIS (Total Isotropic Sensitivity)
- De-sense (With other wireless technologies)
“Our Over-The-Air facility covers 2.5G, 3.5G, WLAN, Bluetooth® and WiMAX™ testing, these technologies are now more and more implemented jointly in products such as mobile phones, notebooks, PDAs to facilitate the access to Internet everywhere and makes communication easier.”, says Jose de la Plaza, Wireless Laboratory Manager at AT4 wireless. “The co-existence of several wireless technologies within the same device demands a dedicated care from designers when defining the RF performance of the complete device. Specially to avoid the interfering effects of co-located modules transmitting simultaneously at nearby located antennas, these factors can be easily predicted with the CTIA and Wi-Fi Alliance test plan for Wireless Mobile Converged Devices, now in operation at AT4 wireless.” Jose de La Plaza continued.
With this new achievement AT4 wireless continues its strategy in providing a “one-stop” Shop service for testing and allow manufactures to perform not only certification and regulatory services what has been commonly requested but also performance testing to bring competitive products faster onto the market”.
