Swift Labs appointed as AT4 wireless´ Canadian Agency

AT4 wireless, the most complete laboratory in wireless & cellular testing & certification, has appointed Swift Labs, an expert company in wireless R&D, functional testing, pre-testing and consultancy services, as its Canadian Agency.

These companies have entered into agreement to provide added value services to the Canadian telecommunications industry through local pretesting, functional testing, R&D support and Carrier Lab Entry Services. Swift Labs will provide direct access to AT4 wireless’ complete service offering, bringing global reach to the wireless & cellular testing market in Canada.

AT4 wireless, a leading testing and certification laboratory, announces that a new testing service for certification of devices built to ULE Alliance global standards is now available at AT4 wireless laboratories.

In 2014, ULE Alliance, a non-profit organization of leading companies that promotes the worldwide allocation and market adoption of the ULE (Ultra Low Energy) wireless technology, selected AT4 wireless as the Certification Testing Laboratory and Qualification Body for the ULE Certification Program.

 

Extension of AT4 wireless’ Global Field Testing scope to APAC

AT4 wireless announces that it has expanded its geographical field testing scope by adding APAC countries to its portfolio. The company offers field testing services for both cellular and Wi-Fi technologies in North America, all Latam countries, all the European Union countries and now the following APAC countries: Japan, Taiwan, China and Australia.

Some field testing services provided by AT4 wireless in the APAC region include: GCF field trials in both FTQ (Field Trial Qualified) and non-FTQ networks in APAC countries, carrier acceptance field trials, vendor QA field trials, network characterization and benchmarking, device benchmarking, etc.

AT4 wireless expands LTE Advanced global testing scope using Anritsu test platforms

 

AT4 wireless and Anritsu have reached an agreement to upgrade the LTE Advanced conformance test and carrier acceptance test capabilities in Europe, North America and APAC, supporting certification of mobile devices globally.

The agreement is adding significant capability for the latest protocol and RF/RRM LTE test packages and Work Items, including Carrier Aggregation, IMS and VoLTE which are the latest features being launched on LTE-Advanced networks, and supporting both FDD and TDD modes to ensure true global coverage.

 

AT4 wireless extends its wireless interoperability testing services to wireless charging

AT4 wireless announces that it is now offering a new interoperability testing service for wireless charging devices at its Malaga, Spain premises. This new service is the first one including PMA (Power Matter Alliance) and A4WP (Alliance for Wireless Power) certified devices.

AT4 wireless is the only lab in the world that can conduct both PMA and A4WP certification testing and based in its interoperability and wireless charging testing experience has been able to create a number of test cases and a complete test plan for both inductive and resonant technologies to check the behaviour of the device under test against a wide range of PMA and A4WP certified devices available at the WiOT lab.

AT4 wireless adds new features and functionalities to its wireless performance testing solutions

AT4 wireless provides rich features wireless performance testing tools for comparative analysis, performance benchmarking and root cause analysis. These tools can be integrated into smartphones and other mobile devices facilitating field testing. The tools are capable of recording many QoS and QoE KPIs. Among its main capabilities, we can highlight:

AENOR EA 0053 new technical specification for travel adapters

AT4 wireless announces that its Electrical Safety Lab already has the capacity required to provide services according to AENOR EA 0053 new technical specification for travel adapters that will be published during 2015. This specification affects both, power supplies bases and plugs to be used in travel adapters.

AT4 wireless, as an active member of AENOR CTN 201/SC23B standardization committee, has worked for last four years in the development of this new normative applicable to power supplies bases and plugs to be used in travel adapters.

AT4 wireless offers a new batteries testing service for use in portable applications

AT4 wireless announces the extension of its Electrical Safety Laboratory Lab scope adding a new testing service for non-acid electrolyte (lithium and nickel) batteries aimed at portable applications use, in compliance with the IEC 62133 and ONU ST/SG/AC.10/27/add.2.; ST/SG/AC.10/11 standards, which specify security requirements that battery cells and battery pack must meet.

It´s relevant for designing batteries or internal electrical power source devices, manufactures have to pay special attention to safety requirements included in IEC 62133 and ONU ST/SG/AC.10/27/add.2.; ST/SG/AC.10/11 standards.

 

Malaga´s University and AT4 wireless will collaborate in training, research and internships

This agreement, signed by Malaga University and AT4 wireless, establishes the framework to carry out end-of-degree projects and join R&D projects.

This agreement has been signed by Ms. Adelaida de la Calle, Rector of Malaga University and Mr. Luis Fernando Martínez, General Director at AT4 wireless. Cooperation activities, aimed to students, will be focused on professional internships in fixed-term periods and end-of-degree projects development within AT4 wireless’ activity.
