DEKRA Acquires Testing Expertise for Internet of Things

Wireless communication specialist AT4 wireless in Spain taken over

The international expert organisation DEKRA is taking over the testing company AT4 wireless in Málaga, Spain. A contract to this effect was signed on June 29, 2015. With this, DEKRA is completing its range of testing services for wireless communication and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). DEKRA is thereby securing key expertise for the future trends Industry 4.0 and Automotive 4.0.

Headquartered in Málaga, AT4 wireless has a workforce of 285 employees and has laboratories in Spain, Chile, USA and Taiwan. The Andalusian company offers testing and approval services to telecommunication device manufacturers with a focus on wireless, interoperability and conformity testing. In addition, AT4 wireless offers global services for network operators, such as the device acceptance, field testing and interoperability.

 

AT4 wireless establishes its first anechoic MIMO OTA test Laboratory

AT4 wireless announces that it has completed the set-up of a new Laboratory for Over the Air (OTA) Testing MIMO measurements at its Malaga, Spain H.Q. This facility will conduct radiated performance measurements for cellular and wireless devices in a multipath environment simulating a wide range of real world scenarios.

It is expected that a larger percentage of LTE and Wi-Fi devices will support MIMO in the coming months; AT4 wireless is opening this laboratory first of all to support R&D and pre-testing for its customers so they can be ready for future certification requirements from PTCRB and CTIA.

 

AT4 wireless launches TACS4, its “Regulatory & Approval Database Service”

AT4 wireless announces that it has launched TACS4 “Regulatory & Approval Database Service” as a part of its complete International Type Approval Services portfolio. This platform allows AT4 wireless customers to access detailed information about specific regulations applicable to the most important radio technologies across a large number of countries in real time.

TACS4 “Regulatory & Approval Database Service” is an innovative service powered by an online database that includes detailed RF regulatory & approval requirements in almost 200 countries

 

AT4 wireless becomes first authorized test lab in USA for NFC Analog Testing

AT4 wireless is pleased to announce that the company becomes first laboratory providing analog testing services for the certification of NFC devices in 3 different locations: Spain, Taiwan, and now USA, according to the most recent requirement of the NFC Forum certification program.

Analog testing has been the latest requirement added by NFC Forum to NFC Forum Certification Program, extending its coverage focusing on the RF level of NFC communication.

AT4 wireless expands its certification testing portfolio for Wi-Fi Alliance® certification services.

AT4 wireless Wi-Fi® Authorized Test Lab is pleased to announce that has been qualified to perform certification testing for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Wi-Fi Aware™, the most recent certification program from Wi-Fi Alliance®.

Wi-Fi Aware™ is an exciting new capability of Wi-Fi technology which enables power-efficient discovery of nearby information and services before making a connection.

 

New requirements for the management of waste electrical and electronic devices (WEEE) in Spain

AT4 wireless advises to manufactures and importers of electrical and electronic equipment (EED) for meeting the new regulatory requirements generated by the publication of Royal Decree 110/2015 on waste electrical and electronic equipment.

In order to transpose the latest version of the WEEE 2012/19/CE directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, the Royal Decree 110/2015, which regulates in detail almost all phases the management of WEEE, has recently been published in Spain.

AT4 wireless presentation “Standards & Testing in tomorrow´s Society”, awarded as the best thematic presentation during Korea Eureka Day 2015 event.
